The coach behind the coaching
PGA professional. Louth Golf Club. One simple aim: to help you enjoy your golf more.

Ethan Payne
A PGA professional who never stopped being a golfer
Ethan is a PGA-qualified golf professional based at Louth Golf Club in Lincolnshire. The PGA qualification means formal training in coaching and swing technique, and it is the reason lessons here start with what your own swing is actually doing rather than with a template.
His coaching starts with listening, not lecturing. Before anything gets changed, Ethan wants to understand how you play, what frustrates you and what you want golf to feel like. Then the launch-monitor data comes in, to find the real cause rather than the visible symptom.
From juniors picking up a club for the first time to seasoned club golfers chasing a career-best handicap, the goal never changes: play better, and enjoy it more.
Coaching philosophy
Three things every lesson is built on
Individualised, always
No two swings are the same, so no two lesson plans should be either. Coaching starts from your game, your goals and the time you actually have to practise.
Backed by stats
Launch-monitor data takes the opinion out of coaching. When something changes in your swing the numbers show it, so you see the proof rather than taking a coach's word for it.
Enjoyment first
Golf is meant to be enjoyed. Golfers who enjoy their game practise more, improve faster and stick at it, which is why every lesson is built to leave you wanting to play.
